Kristy’s passion for dance and fitness is undeniable – her versatility and spirit, indisputable. Whether she is teaching a Caribbean workshop, performing for a Hip Hop production or training a client, her energy is electric. Kristy was born into a world of Caribbean and Hip Hop culture, which included athletics. Her certification in personal training and eclectic dance training in Caribbean, Hip Hop, Jazz, West African, Modern, Lyrical, Ballet and Musical Theatre have greatly contributed to her strength, style, knowledge and ability. She has been fortunate to learn from Hip Hop and Funk Styles legends such as, Popin' Pete and Suga Pop from the Electric Boogaloos, Don "Campbellock" Campbell from the Lockers, House pioneer, Caleaf Sellers, as well as Bradley "Shooz" Rapier, Keely "LocknKey" Armistead, Lady Jules and Boogie Man from the Groovaloos.
She has co-founded and continues to choreograph and perform for, C.Stylz Dance Productions, a Hip Hop performance company based in Calgary. In addition, she is the vice president and head choreographer for Holla Productions Association of Calgary, a not for profit organization focused on supporting and promoting youth in the urban performing arts. Awards include Best Choreography in the Artists' Emerge Western Canada Hip Hop Championships.
Just Vibez Dance and Fitness, founded in 2007 by Kristy Anthony, is a company aspiring to provide diverse and high quality performance, choreography, instruction and personal training to a diverse Canadian community. Every Just Vibez dance project is unique, including the dancers, who are specially trained and contracted for each event. We realize that each of our personal training clients are also unique, so we ensure their programs are custom-tailored for their specific goals. Our mission is to spread the passion for fitness, as well as dance, sharing the knowledge of its history and culture; respecting its roots while embracing it's evolution. Just Vibez prides itself on maintaining a dynamic company which thrives on endless professional development, creation and transformation.
